YPWeek Code of Conduct

NEWaukee and the participating organizations of YPWeek are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of attendees, participants or volunteers (collectively, "Attendees") in any form. Attendees violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from an event—without a refund when applicable—at the discretion of the event organizers. Attendees violating these rules may also have their membership in the host organization revoked without refund, if applicable.

Harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Attendees asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If an Attendee engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event—with no refund when applicable. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an event organizer or a representative of YPWeek immediately.

Event organizers will be happy to help Attendees contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.

We expect Attendees to follow these rules at all YPWeek events.
